St Paul Apartment Remodeling Ideas

Looking to renovate your St Paul apartment or home? It’s often more economically practical to opt for renovations instead of looking for a new place to live. If all you need is just a bit more space, but don’t want to leave your current St Paul residence, then remodeling can be the solution to your problem.

At Titus Contracting, we’ve successfully executed and completed many St Paul apartment remodeling projects. We know that it’s important for home owners and apartment landlords to have on their side a reputable, experienced contractor that can help guide and offer you ideas on your project. St Paul apartment owners especially find our idea assistance to be helpful, as they are looking for ways to maximize the most out of a small space.

Here are some ideas we remember whenever handling a St Paul apartment remodeling project:

Storage
Many times, the impetus for apartment remodeling comes from the necessity of maximizing the storage capabilities in a small space. Therefore, it’s important to implement storage solutions that can help the apartment’s design to become streamlined and minimize the amount of clutter. Storage solutions can be created by using space that normally goes underused.

Dual function
Another way to maximize the available space is by having each area perform a dual function. You can make your main living area into a sleeping area for guests. You can also make a bedroom into an area for work or play. There are many different dual functions that different areas of your apartment can play.

Open space
If you’re looking to open up the space while adding light and warmth, you can do so with the right paint and interior design. A full range of lighting options, from lamps and ceiling fixtures to wall scones can give you the ample lighting you’ve always desired.

2013 Remodeling Trends

Spring is around the corner, which means the season of remodeling is upon us. Whether it’s for your home or office, 2013 is the year to finally get in touch with us to complete your dream renovation. Here are some of the trends we expect to see in Twin Cities commercial remodeling projects this year:

Additional space
We’re predicting more and more will additional more room in their home or office, whether it’s knocking down walls or adding on to the existing structure. These kinds of projects require an experienced contractor – like Titus Contracting – since wall removal can be dangerous, especially if you need to remove a load-bearing wall. Also, you might have to obtain permits to add on to your existing structure, which our team will handle.

Custom jobs
Custom remodeling projects are those that help to make the building more functional. These can include special stations for charging electronics (cell phones, laptops, tablets, etc.) to custom storage spaces and lighting. These kinds of projects help to give your home or business a unique flavor that’s truly yours, by personalizing it with your tastes.

Energy efficient
As energy prices continue to increase, many are looking at remodeling to increase efficiency and improve their buildings with eco-friendly products. Popular improvements include replacing an old HVAC system, smart thermostats and more. Read our recent blog on how remodeling can make your home more energy efficient.

Elegance
Energy efficiency doesn’t have to mean a loss of elegance, however. Many are turning their bathrooms into spa-like escapes where they can relax and unwind from the long day. Elegance can also be accomplished with better lighting, bigger countertops and more options.
